Blue Lagoon Split: Group Tours from Split

Blue Lagoon Split is not actually lagoon located at the city of Split but it is not that far from it, depending on your means of transportation. However, Blue Lagoon tour from Split is very popular activity during summer season, for a reason. If you're looking for Blue Lagoon in Croatia, this is the one.

Blue Lagoon Split is turquoise lagoon located between the coast of Drvenik Island and 2 small islands of Krknjaši snuggled next to it. This triangle of islands creates unique natural wonder with shallow sandy sea bed and crystal clear sea surrounded by lush green pine trees and pebble beaches at the lagoon's islands.

Although the lagoon has 3 entrances through which you can enter by boat, only one is deep enough for  big boats to enter. Two other entrances can be too shallow during the low tide and big boats can't risk of getting stuck. That being said, we provide 3 types of group tours to our guests that wish to visit Blue Lagoon from Split.

Blue Lagoon Split - Half Day Speedboat Tour

Half Day Speedboat Tour1

First and the most popular one is Half Day Blue Lagoon tour from Split with a speedboat. There are many advantages of this kind of tour, most important being shorter time of travel, fun ride with powerboats, semi-private experience, ability to dock at the pier in the lagoon and to choose prefered time of day to join the tour.

When it comes to reaching the lagoon, you need to cover the distance of 14 nautical miles between Split and Drvenik island. Since speedboats usually travel about twice of that speed, you would need around 30 minutes when going directly from Split to the Lagoon. However, there are three stops on the Speedboat Blue Lagoon Tour because of which it takes only 15 to 20 mins from place as two other stops are located between Split and Blue Lagoon.

This is why speedboat tour can go twice per day, once in the morning and once in the afternoon. It blends easily into a busy schedule of tourist visiting metropolis of Dalmatia wanting to have a great day and fun experience but doesn't want to spend its whole day or too much time on the boat. Not to mention, there are maximum of 12 passengers allowed on each speedboat.

Blue Lagoon Split - Three Islands Tour with Big Boat

Pleter Boat

If you're looking to visit Blue Lagoon and nearby islands but don't prefer the speedboats for this kind of activity, big boat tours to Blue Lagoon are the best option for you. We recommend this kind of activity to families with their grandparents and kids, especially with young kids or toddlers. Not only that you have a bigger boat and more space but you get family discount for kids and access to toilet during every part of your trip.

On top of that, lunch and drinks are included in the price of the tour. In other words, this is the most valuable tour when it comes to Blue Lagoon Split and how much you get in return. Besides anchoring at the lagoon, boat also docks at Čiovo island and anchors at Shipwreck bay at Šolta island.

Although it takes more time to reach each destination as opposed to speedboats, you're able to walk on the boat during the trip, enjoy in the scenery of Adriatic islands, capture its charm and relax at one the sunbeds or stretch on the boat's spacious sundeck. Despite big boat tours being recommended to families with kids, there are a lot of couples and different size groups that prefer this kind of more relaxing boat tour to Blue Lagoon.

Blue Lagoon Split - Party Boat Tour

Party Boat tour

Party Boat Tour is best suited for students and young adults that are looking to have a exciting day at sea by swimming in the Blue Lagoon, jumping from a top deck of party boat and owning the dance floor, while DJ keeps everyone hitting the beat.

Party boat tour goes directly and only to the Blue Lagoon and back to Split. Although it takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes of sailing to reach the lagoon, you don't feel it that much. Good vibes, live DJ and like-minded individuals having fun during summer vacation in Croatia, make all your troubles disappear.

Since students and young adults love to experience the nightlife when visiting new destinations and sleep for the first part of the next day, Party Boat Tours don't start before 2 PM. Although lunch and drinks are not included in the package, during this kind of Blue Lagoon tour, you get a welcome drink and free entrance to the afterparty later that evening.

Important to point out is that bringing your own drinks onboard is not allowed, besides water. However, there is a bar onboard where you can buy beer, wine, spirits, liquor or cocktails.

Blue Lagoon Split - Price difference

Price difference in these 3 boat tours reflects the size of the boat, its capacity, fuel expenditure and package each tour offers. For instance Party Boat Tour is the cheapest because it is made for students and young adults looking to have simple and fun tour with live music onboard during the cruise. Besides that, boat spends less fuel, stops at Blue Lagoon only and has big capacity.

On the other hand, Three Islands Tour also implies big boat with low fuel expenditure and big capacity but the tour package differs a lot since it made for families and people looking for more relaxed tour to Blue Lagoon and nearby islands. Although it is more expensive than Party Boat Tour, Three Islands Tours provides lunch and drinks as part of the package as well as discount for kids and bigger groups.

In comparison with these two, Half Day speedboat tour is somewhat more expensive due to high fuel expenditure and limited capacity of only 12 passengers onboard. In return, it provides more private experience, much shorter crusing time between the islands and ability to choose between morning and afternoon departure times to Blue Lagoon Split, among other advantages to the first two excursions.
